I’ve been a very heavy user of Firebug since it first came out and it’s always been my preferred web development tool of choice, however I watched this video on Chrome Developer Tools during my holidays and as a result I am not using Chrome Developer Tools on a daily basis. I can see myself moving away from Firebug now after seeing Developer Tools being able to record events to see jankiness in the paint events, using pretty print on minified JavaScript, being able to save directly to disk and also having inbuilt diffs. It was pretty awesome watching Pavel using Developer Tools to inspect Developer Tools as well. Nothing like a bit of Developer Tools inception! 🙂
